About the Conference #HS22

The Human Security Conference titled "Innovation, Research, and Knowledge in the (re)configuration of Human Security" is the fifth edition of the high quality academic event that gathers leading scholars in human security area. Our #HS22 conference is a recurring biannual event which now follows more than 8 years of progressive dealing with the concept of human security.

POST COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS
We are closely monitoring the latest developments regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As of September 20, we are positive that we will gather physically at the premises of the building of University of Belgrade Rectorate.

F.A.Q.

  • As of March 2022, we are positive that we will meet in person in Belgrade this autumn. However, our team is closely monitoring the situation with ongoing pandemic. We are going to implement all the efficient measures against the spread of the COVID-19. As an extemption, we will approve the participants whose residing countries at the moment of the conference are strict - to give their speech via video link.

  • We fully understand the challenges that the pandemic brought to everyday lives. Thus, participating the #HS22 edition of the Conference is completely free of charge. Besides, we encourage PhD students to submit their papers. Kindly note that we are not able to cover travel or accommodation expenses.

  • We are not able to do individual bookings. However, prior to the event, we are going to publish the InfoKit with all the technical details that might help you out with your stay in Belgrade.

  • We are comitted to high quality academic papers on the thematic areas of our Conference. Therefore, we deploy rigour reviewing process which is organized in three stages. First, we screen the suitability of your abstract. After you submit your paper, we perform double peer reviews with an additional third review if necessary. Lastly, we offer the participants a chance to publish their paper in a thematic collections of papers.

  • Yes! We will open the spectators registration in due time. While, at this stage we can not guarantee that we will be able to stream the conference via video link, we encourage in-person attendance within the venue premises.

To apply for participation at our event, you need to fill in the Abstract Form. Please note that your abstract must adhere to the thematic framework of the #HS22 Conference, as described in the Call for Abstracts page or (full .PDF document here). You may download the Abstract Form bellow. It should be dully filled in and sent back to the following e-mail address: info@hsconference.fb.bg.ac.rs
We expect to receive all the abstracts no later than May 31. We will notify the authors on the acceptance of their abstracts and confirm their spot within the Conference by June 5.
